9/14-9/17: Hugging Social Butterfly

on September 27, 2009

Nana’s indoor water world!

The highlight of my day on Monday was spending almost two hours at the park with Nana in the morning.  I was also psyched when Nana shared her cheese sandwich with me at lunch time!

Tuesday morning was good.  I said “bye” to Mom when she dropped me off at school.  My teachers called me a “social butterfly” because I greeted all my friends and handed out lots of hugs!  I was in a great mood and playing with Elmo when Mom came to pick me up at school.  Dinner was tough and Mom gave me a time out when I threw blackberries (the food, not the phone) on the floor.

On Wednesday morning I was in a great mood and was excited to see Nana when she got here.  I had a good breakfast and spent a long time at the park with Nana.  Today Nana brought some bread with us — I thought it was for a snack, but instead it was to feed the pigeons!  I was so excited! When we got back, she set up a little water park for me — and even put my swim suit on me!  We had a great time and ended with some book reading before lunch.  I had a really good lunch and even got to taste a new Syrian delicacy that Nana was eating (freekeh) — I really loved it!

We had a great time after luinch with more playing.  Around 5:00, Rachel came over and we had more fun.  I think Rachel’s going to be spending more late afternoons here, so I’m looking forward to that.  I totally refused to eat dinner (even the berries!), but had  a pretty smooth bed-time.

Thursday morning was good.  Mom let me have a pre-school snack (half a banana and milk) before we hopped in the car.  I was happy to see Mimi and had another great day.  Today my teachers called me a “burst of energy” after seeing me dance to the music and handing out hugs like they were going out of style.  When Mom got here we had a meeting with director of the school — apparently Mom doesn’t think corndogs are a great meal for toddlers.  On the way home we did a lot of singing, including all of my favorites like ABCs, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Row, Row, Row Your Boat, and Elmo’s Song.  I wasn’t too hungry for dinner, but at least I ate some break, milk, and aples.

I went to sleep with Rubber Ducky, because my real duck was in my backpack, down in the closet!

Last year I was recovering from my worst weekend ever!

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
