Feed / Wet / Dirty
This was the whiteboard that greeted me in the postpartum room. Mom, Dad, and the Prentice staff diligently tracked every time I ate, peed, and pooed. Mom and Dad continued keeping track at home, which they’re keeping track of below.

Oh guys, this brings back so many memories. We actually used Trixie Tracker (google it) for about a month until it got too stressful. We were both getting a little OCD–“the data is useless if we miss a feed/poop/nap!” etc. It was fun while it lasted though, and gave us the illusion of control over a situation in which we were completely at sea.
Anyway, congratulations and welcome to this wonderful, crazy parenting world!
Oh my god! – I remember those days. I had this huge (insane) spreadsheet printed out, with the two kids I didn’t have the time boot up my computer :). I think I maintained the log for about a year — which is absolutely crazy but it made me feel in control then (as Katie says very OCD)…
Oh this makes me laugh. I too got OCD about it, but I finally gave it up at the 2 month mark (i.e. 3 days ago). Good luck as you start to enter the crux of the fussy zone. It peaks at about week 6 (or so I’ve heard). Call me if you’d like a personal performance of my “I like to fuss” song. It’s going platinum.
wow, i never realized you have to track this stuff…guess i am not ready to have kids?
