Welcome back to the blog! The last few months have been crazy, with Jack’s arrival, the sale of Dad’s company, Mom’s maternity leave, her going back to work, my switching schools, oh, and we have a new nanny, Vanessa!
This week was Vanessa’s first with us. On Monday, though, she stayed with Jack all day and Julie took me out to the zoo. I still got to spend a few hours with Vanessa; I think we’re going to be good friends.
The rest of the week was back at school, where it was pretty busy. It was our last week making soup (where my responsibility was to bring one carrot a week). We also started a new teacher, Miss Noorah, and had one of our teachers, Miss Mary, have to miss some days because her eye hurts.
We also continued to talk about the change of the weather, vegetables, and our root vue. Our vegetables are aprouting! We also started a new book talking about different kinds of transportation found in the city.
On Friday there was no school, so I got to spend the day at Nana’s and Jiddo’s. I love their new condo! Also, Uncle Danny flew in for my birthday party tomorrow, so Nana, Jiddo, Danny, and I had dinner at India House. When I got back home, I was excited to see Aunt Sarah, Dustin, Aunt Claire, and Luke! I started screaming and jumping and hugging and kissing.
I was too excited to want to sleep, but finally Grandma Droste made an appearance and I got to bed.
I woke up on Saturday and realized that Aunt Sarah and Dustin were sleeping in my room! Sarah and I went downstairs to find Mom feeding Jack. After breakfast, Dad came downstairs and I thought we were going to go to the grocery stores as usual, but instead I got to play with my family while Mom and Dad went out.
