I did a pretty good job sleeping last night, just one wake up for a bottle. Dad was much less fun today as he was busy working. But one highlight was that I got to meet (well, re-meet) Grandpa Yagan! He had a doctor’s appointment in the afternoon and had gotten in late last night. I had a good time getting to know him. He was pretty quick to learn my favorite positions and we got along really well. I guess I’m just pretty comfortable around new people.
Dad left for a couple hours to go to a meeting and I hung out with Mom and Grandpa. During the afternoon, Dad took a break from work to let me sit on the back of the couch and look out the window, but while doing that, he accidentally bumped my head against the window. It hurt so much and just got me in a bad mood. Of course, he eventually just handed me off to Mom and got back to work.
One of the highlights of the day was having our first Chicago visitor (whom I can remember, anyway): Nick! Nick drove all the way from Milwaukee just to meet me! That was really nice of him. I was so excited to meet him that as soon as Mom handed me to him, I spit up — and quite a voluminous one, if I may say so — all over his button-down shirt. The button-down shirt must be a pretty big deal, because Mom had been talking about for several minutes — how she never sees Nick so dressed up and how nice he looked. well, I can’t think of a better way to accessorize than spit up!
I went to sleep really early (around 8:00) and Mom and Dad were very quick to follow.
